"Adventures of Benjamin the Bus" Release
Hi Everyone! "Adventures of Benjamin the Bus: Hitchhikers Guide to Spiritual Mastery" is now released. You will find the print and kindle versions on Amazon now. In a few weeks, you will be able to find the book on Apple, Barnes & Noble, and most other websites around the world.
I released the book on Michael Jackson's birthday, because he is a major character in this book and impacts Benjamin's life. When MJ was alive, he showed the world that through belief, faith, and perseverance, anything is possible. In the book, he is a master in the spirit world and comes down to help Benjamin get in touch with his childhood innocence and unlimited potential, which greatly inspires Benji and boosts his self-esteem.
Why write a book about my VW Bus? My 1966 21-Window, Sea blue/White VW Bus is the only possession I have ever owned that has touched the hearts of so many people that get a glimpse of it! People point, flip a "peace sign," and wave with enthusiasm. The bus reminds them of a simpler, more harmonious, peace-loving time in the 1960s-the era of Woodstock, The Beatles, Haight-Ashbury and the Hippie counterculture!
My husband and I purchased our VW Bus in 2008 from a gentleman that restored him to his original condition. From the moment I laid eyes on him, he reminded me of a sweet, little boy and I started to call him Benjamin. He was the inspiration for the book, because he taught me many spiritual and psychological lessons in life on rides along Pacific Coast Highway. When you ride in an air-cooled, rickedy, vintage bus, you have no idea what will transpire or manifest along your journey. Magical synchronicities are more apparent because you have to be much more aware, focused on the road, and less distracted by technology. In fact, you are rarely in control of what may happen next. It is always good to have a tool box handy, since bolts come loose and parts fly off. But, often, it is the onlookers that surprise us the most. When Benjamin stops anywhere, people come up to us wide-eyed and immediately open their hearts. Such kindness, empathy, and compassion flows from their lips as they recall something from the past that Benji reminds them of.
As a psychologist, I have always been intrigued by what breaks down our defenses and gets us back into our hearts, where real hurt and pain can be healed. I hope that when you read this book, you will get in touch with the Benjamin inside of you and change the way you relate to yourself!
Peace and Love!
